Bio

Andy Hewett is a proven multi-instrumentalist who has recorded and played bass, guitar, mandolin, harmonica and keyboards in countless venues and various music situations. Playing bass Andy has performed across the U.S., the Caribbean, and even Africa.  Andy has extensive experience writing, recording and performing a wide range of genre's namely Metal, Hard Rock, Pop, Rock, Motown and even Country.

After cutting his teeth playing bass in the blues bars of Chicago, Andy picked up and moved to California to tackle rock music.  Upon arrival he started working as a bass tech for San Francisco Bay Area favorites Journey, Gamma, and Montrose before joining the modern rock band Evolution Eden. 

EE's first CD garnered international success with regular plays in more than 26 different countries and a top ten and a top twenty single on the Australian World Indie chart resulting in a music contract with BluePie records. 

Additional recording projects had Andy and Evolution Eden working with A-list producer Beau Hill (Winger, Warrant, Ratt) as well as legendary producer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones) shortly before Johns' untimely passing. 

Playing bass for Evolution Eden, Andy has shared the bill with the who's who of "Vintage Rock" bands - Namely:  Mr. Big, Blue Oyster Cult, Y&T, Cinderella, The Baby's, John Waite, Lynch Mob, Jack Russell's Great White, Carl Palmer (ELP), Winger, Warrant, Ratt...to name just a few... 

Andy has toured with legendary Night Ranger and Three Dog Night vocalist Gary Moon. Andy played Bass and sang all the backing vocals including the "Kelly Keagy" lead parts in the Night Ranger portions of the set list. The band toured on the East Coast, Midwest and Southern California sharing the stage with Kix, Vince Neil (Motley Crue), Firehouse, and Dokken.  

Currently  Andy is playing bass and singing back-ups with Petty Rocks - The most audibly and visually authentic Tom Petty  tribute band on the West Coast.  The band is actively  entertaining crowds up and down the Pacific Coast.
